the girl in the blue dress is the daytime waitress
down at the o.k. cafe downtown
she sings in the kitchen where noone can listen
and she dances when noones around

she sits by the window on the train ride home,
quiet and shy
and she looks up into a clear blue sky and says

man carries his bass down to the station
